Dani Kohut Lynch was named head coach of Storm men's and women's volleyball on Dec. 23, 2024. She was elevated to director of volleyball and head women's coach on Feb. 3, 2025.
Kohut Lynch returns to the American Rivers Conference with extensive experience and a history of success at the collegiate and high school levels. From 2011-17, Kohut Lynch served as the head women's volleyball coach at Luther, where she revitalized the program and led the Norse to consistent postseason appearances. Under her leadership, Luther evolved into one of the top teams in the conference, garnering regional rankings and receiving national ranking votes in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
Kohut Lynch's time at Luther was highlighted by two Iowa Conference Coach of the Year honors (2013 and 2016). She coached the conference's Freshman of the Year in 2015 and mentored 10 all-conference players, one of whom achieved all-region status. Kohut Lynch concluded her seven seasons at Luther with a 117-96 overall record.
Since 2018, Kohut Lynch has continued to make an impact on the volleyball community by coaching at Waukee High School and Ankeny High School, two of Iowa's premier high school programs. She was named the West District Coach of the Year in 2018 and qualified for the State Volleyball Tournament three times.
